Walk into The Old Scotch Church cemetery with me...

Hi- This afternoon, Wednesday, July 30, 2008, I took a walk through The Old Scotch Church cemetery at The Tualatin Plains Presbyterian Church. The cemetery is located in Washington Co., Glencoe (Hillsboro). There are many entries on Find A Grave with this cemetery. I hope that you like the digital photos that I have taken of the cemetery that has been in the Glencoe community since 1873.

Smaller walk with nature.

Hi- If you arrive to the Beaverton Creek Wetlands Park early in the morning, there is a chance that you can see a glimpse of nature. On my early morning walks I have seen a deer family, blue heron, ducks, Canadian geese, nutria, rabbits, toads, slugs, snakes, and many other variety of birds. There are also signs of coyote along the paved path. This park that the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District over sees is a walk that is on the top of my list.

Party In The Park Was Great!

Good evening- My daughter and I had the chance to attend Party in the Park sponsored by Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District this afternoon (Saturday, July 26, 2008). At the Party, there are kids activities, food, games, music, a car show, and more. If you can make it next year, we would recommend this event. Check your Beaverton newspaper or the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation web site for next years details. See you next year!

Have you hugged a tree today?

Hi- The other day on a walk with my daughter, I was asking her if she ever hugged a tree. My daughter looked at me with a surprised expression. I told her to go ahead and do it. There was nothing but laughter from her. Explained to my daughter that if she was serious about, "hugging a tree," she could feel a positive energy. To this day, my daughter still thinks that hugging a tree is silly. What do you think?

Dog on a skate board.

Hi- With life you find something that can make you chuckle. I love this photo from the 2008 Fourth of July Hillsboro Rotary Parade. We had a great time at the parade.
Good day to you!

One of My Favorite Places to Walk

This is one of my favorite places to take a walk. The Tualatin Nature Hills Interpretive Center is located in Beaverton, Washington Co., OR. The lily pond fills up in the winter with the lily stocks underneath the water. This photo shows what you can find in the summer months.
Cattails are starting to bloom again. You can see them in back of the thistel if you look closely.
Have a great summer!
