Vernonia, Ore. and L. L. "Stub" Stewart State Park, July 2009
Hi-
This afternoon I had the chance to tour an area that I have always wanted to visit. Vernonia is a town nestled between Hwy 26 and Hwy 30 on 47. The recreation in the area is well received. I went through the area on a Monday. I could only imagine how the week ends looks when the tourist arrive.
I really liked the downtown area and the store fronts. When visiting a local merchant, she reminded me of what Vernonia can be when the rains return. Difficult to imagine what I saw can be turned upside down.
Take a trip to Vernonia. You will love what you can do and see.

Washington County Museum, July 2009
Hi-
The Washington County Museum is located on the grounds of Rock Creek Portland Community College campus. The staff at the museum was very friendly and knowledgable of the local Washington County. The museum display was informative of the Native Americans plus I enjoyed the showcase of Joesph Meek, Oregon fur trapper.
Be sure to visit this museum and library,
Craig.

"Sand in the City" July 2009
Hi-
"Sand in the City" is a big hit with the city of Portland. Pioneer Court House Square is filled with sand for this popular fund raiser.
Enjoy the sand sculpures as we did on this July week-end.

Train on tour at the Union Station.
Hi-
Walt Disney Studios brought Portland, Oregon a behind scenes of Disney's "A Christmas Carol." These are photos from the Union Train Station where the train made a scheduled stop.
Plus, there was a 3-D Theatre Tent where guests got a sneak peak of movie scenes from Disney's "A Christmas Carol." Movie is to be in theatres November 6, 2009.
The lines were long at this event, but now I understand why. There were fans, water, snow machines, Carolers, and Christmas music to keep ones mind off the summer heat. Disney did a good job with entertaining the crowds.
Craig.

Four Lads A Drinking.
Hi-
Found this photo amongst my collection. Nothing written on the back of this photo to say who these lads are. Most likely the lads are from Clackamas County in Oregon.
Can you identify them?
Craig.
