The sun has shined today!

Hi- The sun has shined here locally here today. My daughter and I took a walk in the Nature Trail. I was happy that I did not miss the Western Trillium that seasonally blooms.

On the other hand, the skunk cabbage is starting to bloom. As you may know, the cabbage does not have the prettiest of aromas.

Reading Fair at U of P.

Hi- My daughter and I attended the last hour of the Reading Fair at the University of Portland. When you entered the Fair, a child was presented a name tag. The purpose of the tag was so six stickers would be added to the tag at different stations during the Reading Fair. Each of the stations were crafts, obstacle courses, fishing game, bag toss, basketball shots and more. After the six stickers were collected on the name tag, a free book was presented from the book table.

This is a annual event that the college puts together for the children. My daughter has been interested in this Reading Fair every year.
